Haitian Men’s National Team Training Camp & Exhibition Game, June 2018
Team Haiti’s training camp culminated with a victory in a competitive game versus a local semi-pro team. The exhibition took place at Joe Celestin Center in North Miami. The team had a stop over in Curaçao on the way to Suriname. They took advantage of the resources available to them, including practicing on the outdoor court by the beach, and doing a team lift.
Haitian Men’s National Team Caribbean Cup 2018
The FIBA Americup Pre-Qualifiers was Team Haiti’s first time in FIBA play since 1981. The event took place in Paramaribo, Suriname. Following the tournament, the National Team traveled to Haiti together.
HAITIAN BASKETBALL SUMMIT, JUNE 22-23, 2019
The first event we ran in Haiti with the FHB was in the capital. Initially it was going to be held at Vincent Gymnasium. For safety reasons, we ended up doing it at the Turgeau Sports & Recreation Center. Thank you Jasson Valbrun and Conald Colbert for stepping up and becoming a great host for two competitive days of action. .
MIAMI MEN’S NATIONAL TEAM MINI-CAMP, AUGUST 16-19, 2019
Mini-Camp was held in Miami, FL. The Haitian Men’s National Team coaches led the invite only camp. Thankful for all who made this event impactful, including special guests Skal Labissière and Cady Lalanne. See press report
BASKETBALL FOR OKAP, OCTOBER 17 & 18, 2021
Two great days of activities at Gymnasium Champs de Mars in Cap-Haïtien. The FHB Ligue Du Nord organized sessions for mini-basketball, open category, and a seminar for local coaches.
FIBA 3X3 AMERICUP, NOVEMBER 12, 2021
The roster of athletes all born and raised in Haiti win the first game in FIBA 3X3 Americup history. Also, the first official FIBA win for Haiti. It required a valiant comeback, after trailing 13-17 in the final minute. Haiti went on to win, 21-19.
