                        We celebrate those Haitians that have accomplished great things in basketball. As we also seek to engage the next generation of Haitians hoopers.

Many more Haitians have played college basketball and professionally. 
           Haitian-American Marie Ferdinand-Harris was selected 8th overall in 2001 WNBA Draft. Went on to be a 3X WNBA All-Star. Others followed, such as Beatrice Mompremier. Mompremier was drafted 20th overall out of the University of Miami in 2020. Currently, Haitian-Canadian Jessica Fequiere and Haitian-American Stephanie Paul are having strong professional basketball careers overseas. Many Haitian women have been successful student-athletes at the college level. Among them, Jennifer Mathurin is Haitian-Canadian who played basketball at North Carolina State University. Her brother Bennedict Mathurin is a member of the Indiana Pacers. Other current Haitian-Canadian NBA players include: Luguentz Dort, OKC Thunder and Olivier Maxence-Prosper, Dallas Mavericks. There is also, Haitian-American Matisse Thybulle, Portland Trailblazers.
